Rachel's first forward progress was at her Aunt Monica's and Uncle Tom's house. She started with the Army Crawl: dragging herself forward on her elbows and using her knees to push off. Later in the week she graduated to crawling on all fours, though we find that for the moment she still prefers the army crawl method.
Rachel had a great flight out to Milwaukee from Phoenix on Thursday, barely uttering a cry the whole time. We had a lot of fun peeking out at the people behind us, and Rachel traded a lot of smiles with both passengers and crew. Her flight did have a downside, though: the next day, she was irritable (for Rachel, that means quiet and a little cranky) and lethargic. By Friday evening, her temperature was up to 101 deg, and we decided to bring her into the ER to get checked out. The doctors and nurses at Oconomowoc Hospital were great -- they moved us through quickly, and treated us very nicely. Rachel was diagnosed with an ear infection (her first), and the doctors put her on Amoxicillin right away. Within a couple of days, Rachel was feeling much better, and made the flight home without any trouble.
